A Quebecer of Italian origin, Nicola Ciccone discovered his passion for singing and writing at a very young age. Nicola got his first record deal upon winning the contest Ma Première Place des Arts in 1998. Four singles off his first album reached number one on radio stations across Quebec. The singer-songwriter also received four nominations at the ADISQ Awards in 2000 and two Juno Awards nominations in 2001.
The past decade has been a very productive one for Nicola Ciccone, both in the studio and live. He has sold thousands of copies of his albums, and his concerts attract hoards of enthusiastic fans. As a versatile artist, Nicola isn’t afraid to explore other musical channels. Nominated 15 times at the ADISQ Awards and three more at the Juno Awards, he is just as popular among his peers as he is with his audiences. After his four successful French albums (L’Opéra du mendiant, Noctambule, J’t’aime tout court and Nous serons six milliards) sold several hundred thousand copies, he released his first English-language album Storyteller in fall 2008.
